a Capoeira Vacation
hi everybody, this event is an opportunity to spend a week in Tuscany playing Capoeira, making friends, exchanging experiences, taking the best life has to offer.
During the workshop I will utilize the "jogo de Corpo" teaching metodology I developed throught my research between Capoeira, Dance, Theater and other body-mind techniques. It is an original approach aimed at understanding Capoeira essence through playful exercises, where music is always the guiding force.
Everyone will have an opportunity to unlock his/her body potential with the art of Capoeira.

Teacher & Staff
Jorge Itapuã Beiramar is the son of Master Nestor Capoeira, one of the pioneers in teaching capoeira outside of Brazil, and Rose La Creta, Kundalini Yoga Master. He coordinates the Nestor Capoeira School in Rio de Janeiro, where he is also a professional practictioner in physical therapy, chiropractic and rolfing.
His approach to Capoeira integrates elements from body-mind techniques such as Yoga, Qigong, Contact-Improvisation, with the knowledge and respect for the full historic background and cultural heritage of the art.
Jorge has various ‘contamination’ experiences with dance and theater companies, plus a collaboration with Cirque du Soleil casting crew.
Luca -Workshop ideator and coordinator
8 years of capoeira training between Bologna and Siena, many workshops around Europe, 4 (long) trips throughout Brazil. He will assist Jorge during classes and also geek around with laptops, cameras etc, live-blogging & DVD-ing (?) the event.
Silvia -Reservations, accounting, concierge
after a long formation in ballet and contemporary dance wanted to take a look into capoeira, could not find any event like this one, happily ended up with 2 kids instead. She will provide us her experience in 5-star luxury resorts reservations offices, and possibly a few 'merendas'.
